He participated in the First Chilean Triennial and has received grants and distinctions from institutions including the Mondrian Foundation, Fundación AMA, Tecnopól UAH and Oxford University, Fondart, DIRAC, and Union Latine Culture et Communication. His work is held in public and private collections including Tate Modern, Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Santiago, Fundación AMA, Fundación Engel, Fundación Larivière, Colección Eduardo Hochschild, Colección Leticia y Stanislas Poniatowsky, and Il Posto.

His work has appeared in publications including Artforum, The Financial Times, Wallpaper, ArtNexus, and The Guardian. Franco has participated in international artist residencies, including De Ateliers and Gasworks.
